Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A well-established 200-bed community hospital is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to support their pharmacy team. This contract opportunity is perfect for both experienced professionals and new graduates ready to launch their careers in a dynamic hospital setting. Located in Sellersburg, Indiana, just across the Ohio River from Louisville, Kentucky, this role offers a convenient location for candidates holding an Indiana pharmacist license, including those currently residing in the Louisville area.
Responsibilities:
Accurately dispense medication orders in compliance with hospital protocols. Review prescriptions for appropriateness, contraindications, and interactions. Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient medication therapy. Provide drug information and counseling to patients and staff. Maintain pharmacy inventory and ensure proper medication storage. Support medication safety initiatives and quality assurance processes.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Licensed Pharmacist with an active Indiana license (or eligible for licensure). New graduates are encouraged to apply; recent pharmacy school graduates welcome. Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations and clinical drug therapies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
Schedule/Hours:
Flexible shifts available; schedule to be discussed upon hiring.
