Category Pharmacy-Pharmacist in Charge Job Type Direct Hire Lead a dynamic community pharmacy as the Pharmacist-In-Charge, overseeing daily operations and ensuring top-tier patient care within a busy retail setting. This direct hire opportunity offers a Monday-Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Elkhart, KS Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the Pharmacist-In-Charge, managing all day-to-day pharmacy functions. Supervise pharmacists, including PRN and contract staff, as well as pharmacy technicians and support personnel. Review and verify prescriptions, dispense medications accurately, and provide comprehensive patient counseling. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements including Kansas Board of Pharmacy, DEA, FDA, HIPAA, and controlled substance laws. Oversee 340B pharmacy operations, managing inventory, pricing, reimbursement, and split-billing workflows. Maintain pharmacy policies, quality standards, and prepare for audits. Collaborate with wholesalers and pharmacy services administrative organizations (PSAO)/PBM partners.
Qualifications:
PharmD or Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited program. Active, unrestricted Kansas Pharmacist license. Eligibility to serve as Pharmacist-In-Charge in Kansas. 1-2 years of retail/community pharmacy experience preferred. Previous PIC, supervisory, or lead experience is a plus but not required. Experience with 340B pharmacy program preferred. Willingness to obtain Oklahoma licensure if cross-border dispensing is required. BLS/AED certification upon hire or ability to secure within 60 days.
Pharmacy Overview:
Community retail pharmacy processing approximately 100-150 prescriptions daily. Current team includes two pharmacy technicians, with plans to expand. Utilizes Liberty pharmacy software. Operates as a 340B covered-entity retail pharmacy. This is a direct hire position ideal for a motivated pharmacist ready to lead a community-focused pharmacy team while maintaining regulatory excellence and operational efficiency.
