Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist - IV Certified Job Type Direct Hire A specialized opportunity is available for an experienced Infusion/Clinical Pharmacist to join a dedicated healthcare team in Overland Park, KS. This direct hire position offers a professional setting where you will play a critical role in preparing, dispensing, and monitoring complex intravenous (IV) and subcutaneous medications within a home infusion context. Your expertise will ensure exceptional patient care through sterile compounding, clinical monitoring, and comprehensive education.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare specialty pharmaceuticals and IV solutions in compliance with state and federal sterile compounding regulations. Monitor patient lab values, perform pharmacokinetic dosing calculations, and adjust Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) treatments. Educate patients and caregivers on infusion pump use, sterile techniques, and catheter care at home. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize therapy management and reduce hospital readmissions. Maintain adherence to regulatory requirements including State Board of Pharmacy, HIPAA, FDA, DEA, Medicare, ACHC, URAC, and OSHA. Oversee pharmacy inventory, manage refrigerated products, and ensure safe medication shipping to patients.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of infusion specialty pharmacy experience. IVIg expertise highly preferred. Strong knowledge of specialty therapy payer requirements, reimbursement, and contract obligations. Current and good standing Kansas pharmacist license. Preference for additional licenses in
CA, ID, IL, KY, MA, MD, MI, NV, OR, OK, TN, TX.
Experience with CareTend system is a plus.

8:00 AM to 5:00
PM Friday:
