1st and 3rd Shift, Monday-Thursday We're seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join a growing pharmacy team dedicated to delivering safe, accurate, and patient-focused medication services. This role combines clinical expertise with hands-on collaboration, giving pharmacists the ability to make a meaningful impact while enjoying a consistent schedule and strong work-life balance. What You'll Do + Verify and dispense prescription medications while ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with all regulatory requirements. + Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness, completeness, and potential concerns before dispensing. + Support and guide pharmacy technicians through preparation, packaging, labeling, and dispensing activities. + Participate in quality assurance initiatives designed to maintain the highest standards of pharmaceutical care. + Monitor and maintain controlled substance inventory, storage, and documentation requirements. + Ensure medications and pharmaceutical waste are handled and disposed of according to established safety guidelines. + Utilize pharmacy software systems to accurately review prescriptions, patient information, and medication records. + Assist in maintaining inventory integrity and workflow efficiency throughout daily operations. + Serve as a resource for pharmacy interns, technicians, and healthcare staff regarding medications and pharmacy best practices. + Collaborate with team members across departments to support exceptional patient outcomes and operational excellence. + Contribute to a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Qualifications Required + Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree. + Active Kentucky Pharmacist License in good standing. + Strong understanding of pharmacy operations, medication safety, and regulatory compliance. + Excellent attention to detail and commitment to patient care. Preferred + Previous pharmacist experience in retail, specialty, hospital, compounding, or clinical settings. + Sterile and/or non-sterile compounding experience. + Additional state pharmacist licenses. + Experience supervising or mentoring pharmacy technicians. + Comfortable working with pharmacy technology platforms and electronic documentation systems. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Nicholasville, KY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $61.00 - $66.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
