Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. An opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist to provide critical pharmaceutical services in a busy, 200+ bed community hospital setting. This contract role is designed for a skilled pharmacist ready to contribute expertise in medication management, patient care, and team collaboration within a demanding hospital environment.

Responsibilities include:

Verifying physician orders accurately and efficiently. Supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow. Consulting with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient medication therapy. Applying pharmacokinetics principles for individualized patient care. Utilizing healthcare IT systems such as EPIC and Pyxis for documentation and medication dispensing.

Schedule details:

4 shifts per week of 10 hours each. Rotating schedule with possible shifts from 6 AM to 4:30 PM, 7 AM to 5:30 PM, or 12:30 PM to 11 PM. Every other weekend coverage.

Qualifications and desired experience:

Valid pharmacist license. Experience in a hospital or similar clinical pharmacy setting. Proficient with EPIC electronic medical records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association. Strong communication skills for effective interdisciplinary collaboration.
