Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract To Hire This position offers a rewarding opportunity to provide expert clinical pharmacy services within an inpatient hospital setting. The facility operates with a census of 131 beds, maintaining 60 to 70 active beds daily. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a key role in optimizing medication therapy and ensuring patient safety across the hospital.

Responsibilities:

Review, verify, and manage medication orders using Epic order entry system Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and monitor individualized patient care plans Utilize Pyxis automation system to manage medication dispensing efficiently Participate in clinical rounds and provide drug information and education to staff Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Current Louisiana pharmacy license Experience in an inpatient hospital environment is required Familiarity with Pyxis automation system is a plus; training available Experience with Epic order entry system is a plus; training available Strong communication and clinical reasoning skills to support patient outcomes

Schedule:

Monday through Friday with shifts available from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Rotating weekends are required This role is offered on a contract-to-hire basis, providing a pathway to permanent employment for the right candidate.
