Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract A clinical pharmacist opportunity is available for a community hospital with over 200 beds, located in the Alexandria, LA area. This contract role is scheduled to start as soon as possible and will last approximately 13 weeks. The position offers a dynamic work environment and requires flexibility with rotating shifts and varied hours.

Schedule:

Four 10-hour shifts per week Rotating schedule including shifts from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, or 12:30 PM to 11:00 PM Every other weekend rotation

Key Responsibilities:

Perform order verification ensuring accuracy and compliance Supervise pharmacy technicians and oversee daily pharmacy operations Consult with physicians and nursing staff to support optimal medication management Conduct pharmacokinetics assessments for patient care Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for medication management and documentation

Desired Qualifications:

Licensed Pharmacist with current, valid license Experience in clinical pharmacy practice within a hospital setting Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems Strong communication skills for collaborative patient care Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, preferably through the American Heart Association This contract role is ideal for pharmacists seeking a rewarding hospital environment with a supportive team and varied clinical responsibilities.
