Duties Dispense prescription medications accurately while adhering to all state and federal pharmacy laws. Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate medication therapy, including pediatrics, acute care, pain management, and immunizations. Manage pharmacy operations efficiently by overseeing inventory control, medication storage, and ensuring pharmaceutical regulatory compliance. Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement medication plans, optimize drug therapy outcomes, and support medical management initiatives. Lead and manage pharmacy teams, including supervising pharmacy technicians, fostering professional development, and ensuring adherence to clinical confidentiality policies. Utilize Pharmacy Information Systems (PIS), Electronic Health Records (EHR), and other EMR systems to document patient interactions accurately and maintain detailed records. Educate patients on medication administration, drug regulation policies, and health promotion strategies to enhance patient service quality. Requirements Valid pharmacist license in good standing with current practicing credentials. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, medical terminology, and healthcare compliance regulations including HIPAA. Proficiency with pharmacy software systems, EMR/EHR platforms, and Pharmacy Information Systems (PIS). Demonstrated ability to manage pharmacy teams effectively while maintaining high standards of customer service and client communication. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications such as immunizations. Familiarity with drug regulation policies, pharmaceutical regulatory compliance, and inventory management practices.
