• Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract A contract role is available for a Clinical Pharmacist to support a community hospital with over 200 beds in the Alexandria, LA area.

This position offers an opportunity to apply your clinical expertise in a dynamic hospital setting, working closely with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Location:

Alexandria, LA (flexible to travel or relocate)

Schedule:

4 ten-hour shifts per week Rotating schedule with varying shift times: 6:00 AM

• 4:30 PM, 7:00 AM
• 5:30 PM, or 12:30 PM
• 11:00 PM Every other weekend on call

Responsibilities:

Verify medication orders accurately and thoroughly Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow and accuracy Collaborate with physicians and nurses to provide clinical consultations Conduct pharmacokinetic monitoring and assessments Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for managing medication orders and inventory

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Active pharmacist license in the state of Louisiana Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association Strong experience in clinical pharmacy within hospital settings Skilled in order verification and clinical consultations Proficiency with EPIC and Pyxis IT systems Excellent communication and supervisory skills This contract opportunity spans approximately 13 weeks with an immediate start.
