Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A 13-week contract opportunity is available for a Pharmacist at a 200+ bed community hospital located in Pineville, LA. The position requires immediate availability and offers a varied, rotating schedule with four 10-hour shifts per week.

Responsibilities include:

Verifying medication orders for accuracy and safety Supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow Consulting with physicians and nurses to optimize patient care Managing pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring Utilizing IT systems such as EPIC and Pyxis to support pharmacy operations Desired experience and qualifications: Licensed Pharmacist with current credentials Proven ability to perform order verification and clinical consultation Experience supervising pharmacy technicians in a hospital setting Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis automated medication dispensing Strong communication skills and collaborative approach to patient care This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic healthcare environment within a sizable community hospital.
