A position is available for an experienced pharmacist to support inpatient hospital care in a dynamic healthcare environment. This role involves working in a 131-bed facility with an active census of 60 to 70 beds, ensuring quality medication management and patient safety.

Schedule:

Rotating 1st and 2nd shifts: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM and 12:30 PM - 9:00 PM Monday through Friday with rotating weekends

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately process and verify medication orders using Epic electronic health records system. Manage medication dispensing and inventory utilizing Pyxis automation technology. Provide pharmaceutical care to inpatients by ensuring appropriate medication use and monitoring. Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize therapeutic outcomes. Participate in daily rounds and provide clinical support as needed.

Desired Qualifications:

Active Louisiana pharmacy license. Experience in inpatient hospital pharmacy settings. Familiarity with Pyxis automation systems (training available). Knowledge of Epic electronic medical records (training provided). Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety. Ability to work rotating shifts and weekends.
