The Staff Pharmacist is responsible for providing safe, accurate, and efficient pharmacy services while delivering exceptional patient care. The pharmacist works closely with pharmacy technicians, patients, healthcare providers, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure prescriptions are accurately dispensed and patients receive appropriate medication counseling.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify and accurately dispense prescription medications. Review prescriptions for appropriate dosage, drug interactions, allergies, and potential contraindications. Counsel patients on medications, including proper use, side effects, and potential interactions. Provide vaccinations and other clinical pharmacy services as permitted by state regulations. Work collaboratively with pharmacy technicians and other CVS colleagues to maintain efficient workflow. Supervise and support pharmacy technicians while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws. Communicate with physicians and other healthcare providers regarding prescriptions and patient care. Maintain accurate pharmacy records and protect patient confidentiality. Support inventory management, medication ordering, and controlled-substance procedures. Identify opportunities to improve patient health outcomes and encourage appropriate use of pharmacy services. Follow all CVS policies, state and federal pharmacy regulations, and medication safety standards. Provide professional and compassionate customer service.
Qualifications:
Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.
D.) degree from an accredited pharmacy program. Active pharmacist license in the state of employment. Ability to obtain and maintain required immunization and other applicable certifications. Strong knowledge of medications, pharmacy law, and clinical practices. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to lead and work effectively with pharmacy staff in a fast-paced retail environment.

This is a customer-facing retail pharmacy position that requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and effective leadership of the pharmacy team.
Pay:
$67.00 - $72.00 per hour
