Job Description

Job Summary Seeking 2 Full-Time Massachusetts Licensed Pharmacists (RPh) for a 24-hour pharmacy in Taunton, MA . The Pharmacist will be responsible for safely dispensing and verifying medications, counseling patients on prescription and OTC drugs, identifying drug-related issues, maintaining accurate patient records, managing pharmacy inventory, and supervising pharmacy staff. The role also includes medication compounding, sterile solution preparation, patient health services, and collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals. PharmD and active Massachusetts Pharmacist license are required. Flexible scheduling is available, with shifts ranging from 8:00 AM to 12:00 AM ; weekends are optional. Responsibilities Accurately review, verify, prepare, and dispense prescription medications. Ensure prescriptions are appropriate, legal, and safe for patients. Counsel patients on medications, including dosage, storage, side effects, drug interactions, and proper use. Monitor patient medication compliance and identify potential medication overuse or drug-related problems. Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and pharmacy documentation. Provide patient care services such as smoking cessation, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management. Educate patients on the proper use of medical devices, including glucose meters and blood pressure monitors. Compound medications for internal and external use and prepare sterile solutions according to proper procedures. Supervise pharmacy technicians, clerks, interns, and other pharmacy staff. Maintain appropriate inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies. Communicate medication-related concerns and recommendations with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Collaborate with pharmacists, interns, and healthcare providers to support safe and effective patient care. Ensure pharmacy operations comply with applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards.
