Responsible for reviewing, submitting, monitoring and responding to issues regarding medication prior authorizations for IHA patients. Reviews patient medical history to identify supporting documentation in the patient chart relevant to the medication; contacts insurance companies and obtains authorization for medication.

Authorization Specialist - Medications Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a customer-focusedAuthorization Specialist - Medications. Responsible for reviewing, submitting, monitoring and responding to issues regarding medication prior authorizations for IHA patients. Reviews patient medical history to identify supporting documentation in the patient chart relevant to the medication; contacts insurance companies and obtains authorization for medication.
What You'll Do:
Contact insurance companies and obtain authorization. Responsible for reviewing, submitting, monitoring and responding to issues regarding medication prior authorizations Performs data collection and data review as required Contacts insurance companies via appropriate methods and obtains medication authorizations Obtains urgent authorizations same day and next day. Support referrals, authorizations, and patient outreach activities. Maintain accurate documentation and patient records.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
