Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A Pharmacist opportunity is available at a small 50-bed hospital in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. This contract position offers a chance to support hospital pharmacy operations in a close-knit healthcare setting, with day shifts scheduled for five 8-hour days per week. The assignment begins ASAP and is expected to last 13 weeks or more.
Responsibilities include:
Verifying medication orders accurately and efficiently Supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow Consulting with physicians and nurses to provide expert pharmaceutical guidance Managing pharmacokinetics and other specialized pharmacy services Utilizing Cerner and Omnicell systems for pharmacy IT needs The ideal candidate will hold a valid Michigan pharmacist license and have prior hospital pharmacy experience. Comfort with working in a remote northern Michigan location is important to thrive in this role.
