13 Weeks Position Overview RPh on the Go is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Pharmacist to join a Long-Term Care (LTC) mail order pharmacy on a 13-week contract. This role requires flexibility in scheduling, a strong commitment to patient safety, and the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment.

Monday
  • Friday:
    Rotating shifts 9:30 AM
  • 6:00 PM 10:00 AM
  • 6:30 PM 11:00 AM
  • 8:30 PM (Schedule will vary weekly)
Saturday & Sunday:
10:00 AM

PM Key Responsibilities :
Accurately accept, review, and dispense prescription medications in compliance with all regulatory standards. Evaluate and monitor patient medication compliance, identifying potential overuse or misuse patterns. Ensure medication therapies are appropriate, safe, and effective for patients. Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and oversee proper pharmacy documentation and file management. Provide patient counseling on prescription and over-the-counter medications, including usage, dosage, side effects, and interactions. Offer clinical consultations on medication therapy, storage, and administration.
Deliver patient services such as:
Smoking cessation guidance Blood pressure monitoring Cholesterol management education Educate patients on the proper use of medical devices (e.g., blood pressure monitors, glucose meters). Perform compounding of medications, including preparation of sterile solutions following established protocols. Supervise and mentor pharmacy staff, including technicians and clerks. Maintain and manage pharmaceutical inventory and medical supplies. Identify drug-related issues and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams to resolve concerns and optimize therapy. Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary healthcare environment.
Required Qualifications :
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree. Active and unrestricted Minnesota Pharmacist License. Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations, compliance standards, and patient care practices. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
