Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A busy outpatient pharmacy located near a major hospital in downtown Kansas City, MO, is seeking a Pharmacist to support their operations. This contract opportunity offers a chance to work in a fast-paced environment where your expertise in prescription verification, checking, and filling will directly impact patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately verify and fill prescriptions following state and federal regulations Collaborate closely with healthcare providers to clarify and adjust medication orders as needed Ensure patient safety by checking for drug interactions, allergies, and proper dosages Maintain organized and compliant pharmacy records Utilize the EPIC system for prescription management and documentation
Desired Qualifications:
Licensed Pharmacist with current state licensure Experience working in outpatient or hospital-affiliated pharmacy settings preferred Proficiency with EPIC or similar electronic medical records systems Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety Excellent communication skills for interacting with medical staff and patients

Schedule:
Monday through Friday daytime shifts, supporting a regular workweek This contract position begins promptly and has a duration of approximately 13 weeks, with the potential to transition into a permanent role.
