Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Pharmacist specializing in acute care pharmacy services. This evening shift role offers a unique opportunity to manage central pharmacy operations within a respected hospital setting. The position focuses on medication verification and workflow coordination to ensure optimal patient care.
Location:
Nixa, MO Acute Care Pharmacy, 1235 E Cherokee St, Springfield, MO 65804
Schedule:
Evenings, 2:30 pm - 12:30 am 7 days on, 7 days off (Thursday-Wednesday, may vary with guaranteed weekly hours)
Key Responsibilities:
Verify and check medications using EPIC dispense prep (IVs, premade IVs, creams, insulin pens, kits, crash carts, prepack items) Coordinate workflow in the central pharmacy, ensuring efficient operations Oversee pharmacy technicians' workflow, redirecting tasks as necessary Ensure code carts are properly restocked and that all products meet quality standards
Qualifications and Experience:
Missouri Pharmacist Licensure required Minimum 1 year of pharmacy experience; new graduates are welcome to apply Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system preferred
Training:
A 2-3 week training period focused on product verification will be provided, adjusted based on individual readiness
Team Environment:
The central pharmacy includes pharmacists and technicians working collaboratively, with this role leading evening operations focused on medication verification and workflow management This contract position spans 13 weeks with a strong possibility for extension, offering 36 guaranteed hours weekly.
