Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract This opportunity offers a rewarding role for a licensed pharmacist to support central pharmacy operations within a hospital setting. The assignment spans 13 weeks with a strong possibility for extension, providing stability and the chance to make a meaningful impact on medication management and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Utilize EPIC dispense prep to verify and check medications, kits, crash carts, prepack items, and other pharmacy products Coordinate workflow in the central pharmacy to ensure accurate and timely medication preparation Oversee the accuracy of stocked code carts and verify premade IVs, creams, insulin pens, and other pharmaceutical items Provide guidance and direction to pharmacy technicians to maintain smooth operations Serve as the primary pharmacist overseeing central pharmacy functions, while other pharmacists focus on order reviews within the electronic health record (EHR)

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Missouri Pharmacist Licensure is required A minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system is essential Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Capability to lead workflow coordination without direct supervision of other pharmacists

Work Environment:

Central pharmacy team consists of 5 pharmacists and 10 technicians during the day shift, with 2 pharmacists and 5-6 technicians in the evening Collaborative and supportive setting focused on patient safety and operational efficiency

Training and Support:

Comprehensive training will be provided over 2-3 weeks, tailored to the pharmacist's experience and proficiency with product verification This contract role offers an excellent platform to develop specialized skills in pharmacy operations within a well-established hospital environment.
