Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract Join a dynamic Acute Care Pharmacy team in a well-established hospital setting for an evening shift pharmacist role focused on product verification and central pharmacy operations. This contract position offers an opportunity to apply your Missouri pharmacist licensure and contribute to patient care through meticulous medication preparation and verification using EPIC.
Location:
Springfield, MO Schedule:
Evening shift, 2:30 pm - 12:30 am 7 days on, 7 days off (Thursday-Wednesday, with potential for weekly adjustments) 36 guaranteed weekly hours
Key Responsibilities:
Verify and check medications, kits, crash carts, prepack items, and other pharmacy products using EPIC dispensing system Coordinate workflow within the central pharmacy to ensure efficiency and accuracy Check inventory levels and restock code carts correctly Oversee the workflow of pharmacy technicians, ensuring tasks are prioritized appropriately (without direct supervisory responsibilities) Collaborate with a team of pharmacists and technicians to maintain high standards in medication safety and patient care
Qualifications:
Active Missouri Pharmacist Licensure required Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience; new graduates are welcome to apply Proficiency or willingness to learn EPIC electronic medical record system Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Training:
Comprehensive training over 2-3 weeks geared toward product verification procedures
