Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract To Hire A respected 400-bed hospital in Missouri is seeking a motivated and dependable Inpatient Pharmacist to join their pharmacy team. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist looking to expand their hospital experience in a collaborative acute care environment. The pharmacy team is looking for someone who is comfortable working variable shifts and enjoys working closely with nurses, physicians, and pharmacy technicians to provide exceptional patient care. This position offers a flexible schedule consisting of four 10-hour shifts per week, and the facility may also consider pharmacists interested in a 7-on/7-off schedule. Responsibilities Verify medication orders and ensure accuracy and safety. Supervise and support pharmacy technicians during daily operations. Consult with physicians and nursing staff regarding medication therapies. Monitor patient medication profiles and clinical interventions. Ensure compliance with hospital pharmacy policies and regulatory standards. Utilize pharmacy technology systems including EPIC and Pyxis. Experience Some recent inpatient or hospital pharmacy experience Requiered Experience working in a fast-paced acute care setting is a plus. Familiarity with automated dispensing systems and electronic medical records. Qualifications Active Missouri Pharmacist license in good standing. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work variable day and afternoon shifts. Team-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail.
