Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A pharmacist role is available for a 13-week contract with strong potential for extension, based in Springfield, MO. This opportunity includes four openings across various shifts to accommodate different schedules: 1 position on 1st shift: 10-hour shifts, 7 days on/7 days off 2 positions on 2nd shift: 10-hour shifts, 7 days on/7 days off 1 position on 3rd shift (night): 7 days on/7 days off
Qualifications and Experience:
Licensed Pharmacist in Missouri Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience; new graduates are welcome to apply Proficient with EPIC electronic medical record system
Responsibilities:
Utilize EPIC dispense prep to verify medications, kits, crash carts, prepackaged items, and other necessary products Coordinate workflow in the central pharmacy ensuring efficiency and accuracy Verify medication products including IVs, premade IVs, creams, and insulin pens Ensure code carts are fully and correctly restocked Oversee pharmacy technicians' workflow and redirect tasks to support pharmacy operations; no direct supervisory responsibilities Support central pharmacy operations as the primary pharmacist, while other pharmacists focus on order review within the
EHR Training:
Initial training period of 2-3 weeks focused on product verification, adjusted based on individual capability
Work Environment:
The central pharmacy team includes 5 pharmacists and 10 technicians on the day shift, with 2 pharmacists and 5-6 technicians on the evening shift. This role is key to maintaining smooth pharmacy operations and supporting the pharmacy team's success.
