PHARMACIST MANAGER
Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Pharmacist Manager to lead our pharmacy team with enthusiasm and expertise. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, and deliver exceptional patient care. Responsibilities Manage and supervise pharmacy operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to pharmacy policies. Lead and mentor pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and technicians, to promote professional growth and high-quality service. Oversee medication dispensing processes Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws, including USP 797 standards for sterile compounding. Conduct patient assessments to support medication management plans, including pediatrics and acute care cases. Implement and monitor inventory management systems to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing waste. Maintain comprehensive documentation in Pharmacy Information Systems (PIS), Electronic Health Records (EHR), and EMR systems while upholding clinical confidentiality policies such as HIPAA. Facilitate patient service initiatives like immunizations, medication administration counseling, and health education. Ensure pharmacy staff are trained in aseptic techniques, drug regulation updates, and healthcare compliance protocols. Collaborate with healthcare providers on medical management plans, pain management strategies, and patient care coordination Experience Proven experience practicing as a licensed pharmacist in diverse settings such as community pharmacy, hospital or acute care environments. Demonstrated success managing pharmacy teams with strong leadership skills in RETAIL or clinical pharmacy settings. Extensive knowledge of pharmacy operations, drug regulation policies, and pharmaceutical regulatory compliance standards including USP 797. Critical care experience preferred; familiarity with pediatric medication management is highly desirable. Hands-on experience with pharmacy software systems, EMR/EHR platforms, and inventory control tools. Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medication administration procedures. Certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS), immunization certification, and practicing in accordance with state and federal pharmacy laws are required. Pay:
$55.00 - $62.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 45.0 per weekBenefits:
