Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Per Diem A Per Diem opportunity is available for an experienced Clinical Pharmacist specializing in home infusion services. This role requires expertise in sterile compounding, clinical evaluation, and patient communication within a home infusion environment. The position offers a schedule from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, covering specific periods throughout the year.

Cary, NC Schedule:
9:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday Coverage periods include: April 14-22, June 13-25, and July 29-August 5
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with verification of pharmaceutical products entering the clean room, ensuring accurate lot numbers per batch records. Perform final checks on compounded sterile preparations (CSP), including label accuracy, fill amounts, and drug verification. Review and confirm accuracy of final shipments to patients, including medical supply inventories. Communicate effectively with physicians' offices, field nurses, and patients to discuss drug regimens, inventory, adverse reactions, and lab results. Conduct patient outreach to coordinate medication and supply deliveries, monitor compliance, and escalate any issues to management. Manage inbound calls from healthcare providers, nursing agencies, and patients with professionalism and clinical insight.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy; Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Master of Science in Pharmacy preferred. Active pharmacist license in North Carolina. Minimum of two years recent experience in an acute-care setting or at least one year in home infusion therapy. Strong expertise in intravenous admixture services and intravenous therapy. Proficient with CPR+ pharmacy software is required. This Per Diem role offers a critical chance to apply clinical pharmacy knowledge in a specialized home infusion context.
