Job Description
Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is partnering with a client to hire an experienced Pharmacist (RPh) for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Morrisville, North Carolina . This position is ideal for a licensed Pharmacist with strong dispensing, pharmacy operations, medication safety, and sterile IV compounding experience who is comfortable supervising pharmacy staff and working in a long-term care pharmacy environment. The ideal candidate is a licensed Pharmacist who combines strong clinical knowledge with pharmacy operations and leadership experience. The ability to accurately verify and dispense medications, supervise pharmacy production staff, manage workflow, and maintain regulatory compliance is essential for success in this role.

Effective October 5, 2026, the schedule will transition to a 5-week rotation with start times of 6:00 AM, 8:00 AM, 8:00 AM, 9:00 AM, and 1:00PM Weekend Rotation:
One weekend shift during each 5-week rotation, Saturday & Sunday, 8:30 AM-5:00PM Work Setting:

May be required Key Responsibilities The Pharmacist will support day-to-day pharmacy operations while ensuring medications are prepared, verified, and dispensed accurately and safely.Responsibilities include:
Manage daily pharmacy workflow, production quotas, and deadlines. Provide accurate prescription screening, processing, drug information, and dispensing services. Verify new and refill prescriptions for completeness and accuracy. Verify medication packaging and labeling for accuracy and compliance. Prepare and/or supervise the preparation of sterile IV medications and solutions. Supervise pharmacy production staff and ensure appropriate workflow and order entry. Ensure adherence to pharmacy security procedures and delivery schedules. Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations. Assist with DEA compliance and controlled-substance procedures. Assist with ordering, receiving, handling, documentation, and storage of controlled substances. Maintain appropriate perpetual inventory records for Schedule II medications. Monitor and clear the pharmacy workflow dashboard daily. Follow HIPAA and other applicable healthcare regulations. Provide evening, weekend, holiday, and on-call coverage as scheduled. Provide timely feedback and support the professional development of pharmacy staff. Promote a safe, efficient, and compliant pharmacy environment. Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from an accredited pharmacy school. Current, active Pharmacist license in good standing. Strong knowledge of medication therapy and clinical interpretation, including: Drug-drug interactions Drug-disease interactions Drug-food interactions Medication allergies Ability to accurately and efficiently dispense prescription medications. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
