Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A healthcare facility located in Berlin, NH, is seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist to provide dedicated pharmaceutical support across multiple departments, including ICU, Labor & Delivery, Medical/Surgical, and Emergency. This contract position offers a Monday through Friday schedule, 40 hours per week, with shifts from 7:00/7:30 a.m. to 4:30/5:00 p.m., and rotating weekend coverage every third weekend from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Responsibilities:
Dispense and verify medications accurately across inpatient units Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize pharmacologic therapy Support operations within critical care, obstetrics, medical/surgical, and emergency departments Manage medication inventory and ensure compliance with hospital protocols Work independently during weekend shifts, handling all pharmacy operations autonomously
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
2-5 years of pharmacy experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a hospital setting Previous experience in a Critical Access Hospital preferred Competency in Meditech pharmacy software; familiarity with Omnicell is advantageous Ability and willingness to work independently, particularly on weekends Permanent residence must be more than 50 miles from the facility (no local candidates)
Location & Additional Information:
This position is based in a rural setting; candidates should be prepared for potential challenges related to housing and commute. It is recommended to discuss housing arrangements with your recruiter prior to applying. An ASAP start is preferred.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 7:00/7:30 a.m. to 4:30/5:00 p.m. Rotating weekends every 3rd weekend, 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (Saturday/Sunday) This contract opportunity is ideal for pharmacists with hospital experience seeking to support a comprehensive inpatient setting in a rural environment.
