Pharmacist Job Duties:
Prepares medications by reviewing and interpreting prescriber orders; detecting therapeutic incompatibilities. Provide information and advice regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and proper medication storage. Communicate detailed medication information to patients or family members. Advise patients on effects of health conditions or treatments. Provide specialized services to help patients manage conditions such as diabetes, asthma, smoking cessation, or high blood pressure. Offer health promotion or prevention activities, such as training people to use blood pressure devices or diabetes monitors. Contact insurance companies to resolve billing issues. Counsel patients on the proper use of Over-The Counter Medications Completes pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians' work flow; verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals; verifying order entries, charges, and inspections. Complies with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the state board of pharmacy, the drug enforcement administration, maintaining records for controlled substances; removing outdated and damaged drugs from the pharmacy inventory; supervising the work results of support personnel; maintaining current registration. Administer vaccinations to adults . Provide Medication Therapy Management (MTM) Services Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Requirements Proven experience as a pharmacist Thorough understanding of dosage administration and measurement, chemical compounds, medical brands etc. Good organizing skills Excellent communication skills with a customer oriented approach Integrity and compassion Doctor Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)
