11am to 7:30pm, Monday through Friday Starting rate $58. Negotiable.

ASAP through the end of the year Overview We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Pharmacist (Contract) to join our healthcare team. This role involves providing expert pharmaceutical care within a hospital setting, ensuring medication safety, regulatory compliance, and optimal patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will bring extensive clinical pharmacy experience, including specialized knowledge in critical care, trauma centers, and pediatric medicine. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to patient-centered care in a dynamic environment while supporting hospital operations through medication management and clinical interventions. Responsibilities Dispense medications accurately in accordance with physician prescriptions and hospital protocols, ensuring patient safety and therapeutic efficacy. Provide comprehensive patient assessments, including evaluating medication histories, laboratory results, and physiological data to optimize pharmacotherapy. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams such as physicians, nurses, and specialists to develop and adjust individualized treatment plans. Manage IV infusion preparations, aseptic techniques, and sterile compounding to support critical care units including ICU, PICU, and emergency departments. Ensure pharmaceutical regulatory compliance by adhering to drug regulation standards, hospital policies, and accreditation requirements. Monitor patient responses to medications, adjusting therapy as needed for pain management, oncology treatments, or acute care scenarios. Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems for documentation of medication administration, patient notes, and clinical interventions. Precept pharmacy residents or students to foster professional development and uphold high standards of pharmacy practice. Maintain knowledge of pharmacology, physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to diverse clinical settings. Support hospital pharmacy operations through medication inventory management, drug regulation adherence, and pharmacy information systems (PIS). Engage in continuous professional development related to managed care models, trauma center protocols (Level I & II), and hospital medicine. Skills Extensive clinical pharmacy experience with a focus on hospital medicine, critical care, trauma centers (Level I & II), pediatrics, and emergency room environments. Strong knowledge of pharmacotherapeutics across multiple specialties including oncology and acute pain management. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems and Pharmacy Information Systems (PIS) for documentation and medication management. Experience with IV compounding techniques, aseptic procedures, and sterile preparation standards. Familiarity with pharmaceutical regulatory compliance standards governing drug regulation and hospital pharmacy practices. Ability to perform detailed patient assessments considering physiology and anatomy knowledge for safe medication administration. Skilled in managing complex medication regimens within fast-paced settings such as ICU or emergency departments. Demonstrated ability to practice as a pharmacist with post-residency experience or equivalent practice background. Strong communication skills for effective patient service delivery and interdisciplinary collaboration. Knowledge of managed care principles relevant to hospital pharmacy operations.
