Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacist in Charge to lead our pharmacy operations with enthusiasm and precision. Responsibilities Lead and manage the pharmacy team, including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery Oversee medication dispensing, compounding medications, and IV infusion procedures while adhering to USP 797 standards for aseptic technique Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws, healthcare regulations, and pharmaceutical regulatory policies Conduct patient assessments, provide clinical consultations, and support medical management initiatives across diverse settings such as community, LTC (Long-Term Care), or hospital environments Manage inventory control, medication storage, and procurement processes to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing waste Implement and monitor pharmacy operations using Pharmacy Information Systems (PIS), Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, and other healthcare software tools Uphold patient confidentiality policies in accordance with HIPAA regulations while delivering compassionate client communication and customer service Oversee immunization programs, medication administration protocols, and drug regulation adherence in line with professional standards Ensure staff are trained in basic life support (BLS), aseptic techniques, IV insertion, and other clinical skills necessary for safe practice Maintain documentation related to pharmaceutical regulatory compliance, medical terminology accuracy, physiology knowledge, anatomy knowledge, pain management practices, and healthcare compliance standards Skills Extensive experience practicing as a pharmacist with a strong background in critical care, acute care, or hospital settings Proven leadership skills managing pharmacy teams effectively in fast-paced environments In-depth knowledge of pharmacy laws at the state and federal levels as well as drug regulation policies Expertise in compounding medications following USP 797 guidelines and aseptic techniques for sterile preparations Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology principles, and medical terminology to support clinical decision-making Proficiency with Pharmacy Information Systems (PIS), EMR (Electronic Medical Records), EHR systems, and inventory management tools Experience with immunizations administration and pain management protocols within healthcare settings Excellent client communication skills combined with a commitment to patient service excellence Ability to navigate healthcare compliance requirements including HIPAA privacy rules and pharmaceutical regulatory policies Familiarity with hospital or LTC pharmacy operations including IV infusion procedures and medication administration workflows Join us as a Pharmacist in Charge to lead our pharmacy team towards delivering outstanding patient care while ensuring operational excellence.
