Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for a skilled Pharmacist to contribute to patient care through accurate medication dispensing, clinical oversight, and pharmacy operations management in a healthcare setting. Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, fill, label, and dispense medications, including parenteral and IV solutions, ensuring compliance with legal and quality standards. Monitor and evaluate patient drug therapies for safety, effectiveness, and appropriateness, providing clinical guidance to healthcare providers. Maintain medication inventory and manage pharmacy department records in accordance with policy and regulatory requirements. Supervise pharmacy technicians and provide leadership support, including assuming director responsibilities when needed. Participate in emergency response teams and quality improvement initiatives. Engage in ongoing professional development and ensure compliance with organizational standards.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred. Active, current license to practice pharmacy in New Mexico. 1-2 years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred; strong clinical rotations may also be considered for new graduates. Proficient in pharmacy information systems and automated dispensing technology. Demonstrated leadership abilities and excellent communication skills. Strong knowledge of pharmacology and patient-specific medication considerations. Commitment to patient safety and regulatory compliance.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform repetitive hand movements, lift up to 40 pounds, and stand or walk for extended periods.
