Key Responsibilities:

Accurately prepare, label, and dispense medications, including parenteral and IV solutions, ensuring compliance with legal and quality standards Monitor and evaluate patient drug therapies for safety and effectiveness, providing drug information and education to healthcare professionals and patients Manage pharmacy inventory and maintain transaction records in compliance with applicable laws and policies Supervise pharmacy technicians and participate in formulary management and automated dispensing machine updates Engage in emergency response activities, including participation in Rapid Response Teams and Code Blue events Maintain professional development through continuing education and adhere to organizational compliance programs and ethical standards

Qualifications:

Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred Current, active license to practice in New Mexico 1-2 years hospital pharmacy experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical rotations considered Strong knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, and age-specific medication considerations Excellent communication and leadership skills with proficiency in pharmacy information systems and automated dispensing technology Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance

Physical Requirements:
