Permanent Salary:

$135,000 - $168,000 annually Position Summary Cibola General Hospital is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join its healthcare team. The Pharmacist is responsible for medication dispensing, monitoring patient drug therapies, providing clinical pharmacy services, and supporting safe, effective medication management throughout the hospital. In the absence of the Pharmacy Director, the Pharmacist may also oversee pharmacy operations and assume departmental leadership responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Prepare, verify, label, and dispense medications, IV solutions, and parenteral products. Monitor medication therapies for safety, effectiveness, and appropriateness. Provide drug information and clinical recommendations to physicians, nurses, and patients. Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff. Maintain pharmacy inventory and ensure medication availability. Manage pharmacy records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Participate in formulary management and automated dispensing system maintenance. Respond to Code Blue and Rapid Response situations as needed. Promote medication safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance. Participate in continuing education and departmental competency programs. Qualifications Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy . BS in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred. Current and active New Mexico Pharmacist License . Preferred Experience 1-2 years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred. New graduates with strong clinical rotations are encouraged to apply. Required Skills Strong knowledge of pharmacology and clinical therapeutics. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to make sound clinical decisions independently. Strong attention to detail and medication safety. Leadership and supervisory abilities. Experience with pharmacy information systems and automated dispensing technology. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Lift and carry up to 40 lbs. Repetitive hand movements for medication preparation and computer work.
