Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Direct Hire A permanent Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) position is available at a newly established specialty pharmacy focusing on GLP1s, allergy medications, and immunotherapies. This newly built facility in Henderson, NV, recently began insourcing its compounding operations, transitioning from outsourced services to in-house expertise. This role offers an excellent opportunity to lead a growing pharmacy and shape its future by building and managing a team of pharmacists and technicians.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, day shifts
Responsibilities:
Serve as the designated PIC, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations including USP, FDA, and state boards of pharmacy Oversee sterile compounding workflows, quality assurance, and personnel management Maintain compliance with multi-state pharmacy regulations, particularly Nevada and California requirements Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for sterile compounding Recruit, supervise, and train pharmacy staff Manage pharmacy inspections, audits, and regulatory communications Oversee environmental monitoring, validation processes, and documentation Ensure proper handling, storage, and dispensing of compounded sterile preparations Collaborate with leadership on strategy, expansion, and licensing initiatives Keep accurate records and maintain inspection readiness consistently
Qualifications:
Active Nevada pharmacist license required; California license strongly preferred Minimum three years of experience in hospital, infusion, or specialty pharmacy settings Familiarity with multi-state regulatory environments and sterile compounding Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to manage and grow pharmacy staff Willingness and ability to obtain additional licenses as business expands
