Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Direct Hire A new specialty pharmacy focused on GLP1s, allergy medications, and immunotherapies is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead its operations. This permanent role is based at a brand-new facility recently established to insource compounding operations. The PIC will play a pivotal role in building the team, managing compliance, and driving the pharmacy's growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the designated Pharmacist-in-Charge ensuring compliance with USP, FDA, and state pharmacy board regulations Oversee sterile compounding operations, including workflow optimization, personnel management, and quality assurance Maintain compliance with multi-state pharmacy requirements, especially California and Nevada regulations Develop, maintain, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for sterile compounding Recruit, hire, supervise, and train pharmacists and pharmacy technicians Manage pharmacy inspections, audits, and interactions with regulatory agencies Oversee environmental monitoring, validation, and documentation processes Ensure proper handling, storage, and dispensing of compounded sterile preparations Collaborate on operational strategy, expansion plans, and licensing initiatives Maintain accurate records and ensure ongoing readiness for inspections
Qualifications & Experience:
Active Nevada pharmacy license required; California license strongly preferred Minimum of 3 years of experience in hospital, infusion, or specialty pharmacy settings Proven leadership skills with experience managing pharmacy teams Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance including sterile compounding standards Ability to obtain additional licenses as the pharmacy expands Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Location & Schedule:
Position based in Nellis AFB, Nevada area (Las Vegas) Monday through Friday, day shifts
Compensation & Benefits:
