Full-Time Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Pharmacist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications, providing patient consultations, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and supporting pharmacy operations. The ideal candidate is committed to delivering exceptional pharmacy care and can thrive in a fast-paced retail and community pharmacy environment. Key ResponsibilitiesPharmacy Operations Interpret and verify physician prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness. Dispense prescription medications, unit doses, and related supplies in accordance with state and federal regulations and company policies. Accurately prepare, package, and process prescription orders for distribution. Ensure patient education materials and required collateral are included with medication orders. Assist with inventory management, including ordering, receiving, storing, and replenishing medications and supplies. Maintain proper storage conditions, including refrigeration of temperature-sensitive medications. Monitor, maintain, and calibrate pharmacy equipment as required. Fill and manage dispensing units and medication inventory. Prescription Processing Review, verify, and enter prescription information into pharmacy systems. Prepare, scan, and maintain pharmacy documentation. Access, input, retrieve, and update prescription and patient information accurately. Resolve rejected claims and insurance processing issues. Contact patients to verify information, establish order priorities, and obtain payment details when necessary. Patient Care & Consultation Provide medication counseling and clinical consultations to patients in person. Address medication-related questions and concerns while promoting safe and effective medication use. Deliver pharmacy care services in compliance with professional practice standards. Collaborate with providers and healthcare team members to support optimal patient outcomes. Qualifications Active Pharmacist license in good standing within the state of practice. Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations, medication dispensing, and patient counseling. Experience in community, retail, or specialty pharmacy preferred. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to accurately interpret prescriptions and maintain attention to detail. Proficiency with pharmacy management systems and technology. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and move throughout an 8-hour shift. Ability to wear a medical mask for the duration of each shift. Ability to perform routine pharmacy duties, including handling medications and supplies.
