Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Direct Hire This permanent Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) role offers an exciting leadership opportunity within a newly established specialty pharmacy focusing on compounding and specialized medication therapies. Located in North Las Vegas, NV, this position involves taking charge of a cutting-edge pharmacy dedicated to medications including GLP-1s, allergy treatments, and immunotherapies. As the PIC, you will spearhead the pharmacy's growth by overseeing sterile compounding operations, ensuring full regulatory compliance, and building a high-performing team. This role provides a strong foundation for career progression and financial rewards, including incentives and future profit-sharing.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the designated Pharmacist-in-Charge, ensuring compliance with USP, FDA, and state pharmacy board regulations Oversee sterile compounding processes, quality assurance, and staff workflows Maintain adherence to multi-state pharmacy laws, especially California and other non-resident states Develop, implement, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for sterile compounding Recruit, supervise, and mentor pharmacists and pharmacy technicians Manage inspections, audits, and collaborate with compliance consultants Oversee environmental monitoring, validation, and documentation Ensure proper handling, storage, and dispensing of compounded sterile preparations Collaborate with leadership on strategic expansion, licensing, and operational initiatives Maintain accurate records and ensure readiness for regulatory inspections
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Active Nevada pharmacy license required; California license strongly preferred Minimum of 3 years experience in hospital, infusion, or specialty pharmacy settings Proven knowledge of regulatory requirements and sterile compounding standards Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to foster a team-oriented environment Ability to obtain additional pharmacy licenses as business expands Residency in the Las Vegas area is ideal
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, day shifts This is a direct hire opportunity offering an excellent salary around $170,000 annually plus $10,000 in incentives.
