Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Supervising Pharmacist to lead our pharmacy team and ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care. In this vital role, you will oversee daily pharmacy operations, maintain regulatory compliance, and foster a collaborative environment that prioritizes patient safety and service excellence. Your expertise in clinical pharmacy practices, medication management, and team leadership will drive the success of our pharmacy services. Responsibilities Supervise pharmacy operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to pharmacy laws and regulations at the state and federal levels. Lead and manage pharmacy technicians and staff, promoting professional development and maintaining high team morale. Oversee medication dispensing processes, including compounding medications, IV infusions, and aseptic techniques in compliance with USP 797 standards. Conduct patient assessments, provide medication counseling, immunizations, and medical management to optimize therapeutic outcomes. Ensure pharmaceutical regulatory compliance by maintaining accurate records, managing inventory, and adhering to HIPAA, drug regulation policies, and clinical confidentiality policies. Utilize Pharmacy Information Systems (PIS), Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, and other pharmacy software to streamline operations and improve patient care. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pharmacy laws, physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and healthcare compliance requirements to support safe medication administration. Experience Proven experience practicing as a licensed pharmacist in diverse settings such as community pharmacies, hospital environments, or LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacies. Critical care experience with a focus on pain management, acute care procedures, or hospital-based pharmacy services is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to manage pharmacy teams effectively while fostering a culture of excellent customer service and patient-centered care. Strong background in clinical pharmacy experience including patient assessment, drug regulation knowledge, immunizations administration, and medical management. Hands-on experience with pharmacy operations including inventory management, drug compounding, IV insertion/infusion techniques, aseptic procedures, and managing EMR/EHR systems. Basic life support (BLS) certification along with familiarity with pharmaceutical regulatory compliance standards such as USP 797 is required. Knowledge of healthcare compliance standards including HIPAA privacy rules and practicing within state and federal pharmacy laws is essential. Pay:
$70.00 - $85.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 30.0 per week
