Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract This opportunity seeks an experienced clinical pharmacist to support inpatient care across two hospital sites with a combined total of 65 beds. The role requires a proactive professional committed to delivering safe, effective medication therapy and collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams.
Location:
Ashland, OH Contract Length:
Approximately 14 weeks (starting ASAP through 1/2/27)
Shift:
Flexible start times between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM, with every 4th weekend on duty
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy services in an inpatient hospital setting Supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure adherence to clean room protocols Maintain effective communication and strong collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals Utilize EPIC electronic health records to verify and manage medication orders Ensure compliance with all safety standards and pharmacy regulations
Qualifications:
Current Ohio pharmacist license is mandatory Demonstrated experience in clinical pharmacy within inpatient healthcare environments Ability to supervise and lead pharmacy support staff effectively Strong communication and interpersonal skills aligned with values of kindness, responsibility, confidence, and collaboration Comfortable working in fast-paced hospital settings with multiple shifts This contract position provides a chance to contribute meaningfully to patient outcomes within a supportive and value-driven environment.
