Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract Support essential healthcare services as a pharmacist in a specialized hospital setting located in Logan, OH. This opportunity offers a 13-week contract with the potential for extension, starting between September 8th and September 14th. The facility is a 25-bed hospital with key specialty areas including Emergency Department, Infusion, and Orthopedics, providing a dynamic and engaging work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Dispense medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with hospital protocols and regulatory standards. Collaborate with medical and nursing staff to optimize patient medication therapies, particularly within Emergency, Infusion, and Orthopedics specialties. Utilize the EPIC order entry system for medication orders and documentation—experience with EPIC is highly preferred. Provide on-call support after scheduled shifts and occasionally on Saturdays to maintain seamless pharmaceutical services. Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient records and contribute to quality assurance processes.
Qualifications and Experience:
Hold a valid Ohio Pharmacist license. Minimum of 1 year experience working in a hospital pharmacy setting. Proficiency or experience with EPIC electronic order entry systems is preferred. Strong communication and problem-solving skills to effectively support patient care teams.
Schedule:
Full-time, 40 hours per week. Monday through
Friday:
7:30 am to 6:00 pm. On-call duties required after some shifts. Occasional Saturday shifts from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
