Staff Pharmacist

A. JOB SUMMARY
Provide pharmacy services to health center patients according to the policies/ procedures of CAACC and within the scope of pharmacist's licensure and experience
SPECIFIC DUTIES/ ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

FUNCTIONS
Dispensing and Overseeing Operations of the Outpatient Pharmacy 1. Accurately and timely fill all prescriptions 2. Review prescriptions for Drug-Drug Interactions, Food-Drug Interactions, Drug Allergies, Drug Misuse, etc 3. Maintain patient profiles and pharmacy records 4. Counsel patients on their medications 5. Supervise pharmacy technicians, pharmacy students, and pharmacy residents 6. Participate in 3rd party billing and inventory management operations 7. Oversee patient assistance program 8. Follow current and new Federal and State Laws, including 340b integrity regulations
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide Clinical Pharmacy Services 1. Work in collaboration with all members of the care team to assess, facilitate, plan and advocate appropriate services to meet the patient's health requirements on an individual basis 2. Provide Medication Therapy Management (MTM) 3. Provide immunizations 4. Precept pharmacy students 5. Maintain good working rapport with physicians and other health care professionals 6. Answer drug information questions posed by providers 7. Provide educational in-services to medical and dental providers 8. Participate in clinical service development/improvement 9. Demonstrate ongoing professionalism including a personal commitment to advancing self and the profession
OTHER DUTIES 1.
Assist with housekeeping and maintenance of pharmacy 2. Additional duties and tasks as assigned by the pharmacy manager
REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS
PharmD Degree Active State of Ohio Pharmacist License
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Three years of clinical experience or post-graduate residency training in a community or clinic pharmacy Effective interpersonal communication skills Current BLS certification 180-day probationary period Background check including Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Medicare exclusion list, verification of valid driver's license, employment medical exam, including a TB test, adherence to all CAA policies/procedures and requirements of all funding sources. CAA is a drug/alcohol-free and smoke-free workplace and post-offer drug and alcohol testing is required. All Health, Behavioral Health, Dental and Administrative employees are required by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) to have a
COVID-19
vaccination(s) as a term and condition of employment at Community Action Agency of Columbiana County (CAACC).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work in a fast-paced and often high-stress environment as well as the ability to adapt quickly to workload changes Ability to deal with inside and outside clientele and vendors in a diplomatic and courteous manner while assuring adherence to CAACC policies/procedures Above-average oral, reading and writing skills to accurately operate a computer, perform necessary documentation and effectively communicate with staff, patients, clients, customers, business partners, other CAACC departments and visitors Ability to stand for lengthy periods of time; ability to walk for extended periods of time Ability to effectively supervise providers and other staff members

Numerous interruptions Ability to remain calm and cheerful under stressful working conditions Various noises associated with a busy clinical setting Constantly changing medical environment Ability to work at varying locations as assigned Ability to work with potentially hazardous medical substances and equipment Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, toxic substances, medicinal preparations, radiation and other conditions common to a clinical environment Exposure to chemicals and substances common to an office setting CAACC is a drug/alcohol-free and smoke-free workplace
SALARY:
FLSA CLASSIFICATION
Dependent upon qualifications and experience Salaried, exempt
Pay:
$125,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
