Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A temporary pharmacist position is available to support medication management at a community hospital serving a smaller patient population. The role requires licensed Ohio Pharmacist credentials and offers a dynamic setting with diverse specialty areas including Emergency Department, Infusion, and Orthopedics.

Location:

Based near New Lexington, OH, at a hospital with 25 licensed beds and an average daily census of 25-30 patients

Schedule and Coverage:

Full-time, 40 hours per week Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. On-call responsibilities after some shifts Occasional Saturday shifts from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Expected start date between September 8 and September 14

Key Responsibilities:

Dispense and verify medications accurately for various departments including ED and specialty areas Utilize the EPIC electronic order entry system (experience highly preferred) Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapy Manage pharmacy operations in a smaller hospital setting without automation

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Active Ohio Pharmacist license required Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy practices Experience with electronic medical record systems, particularly EPIC, is highly preferred Ability to handle on-call duties and occasional weekend work Adaptability to work in a multi-specialty hospital environment with direct patient care involvement This position is on a contract basis, providing an excellent opportunity to apply your pharmacy expertise in a close-knit community hospital environment with supportive staff and meaningful clinical engagement.
