Responsible for performing all aspects of pharmaceutical care for the hospital system patients including: effective drug use control; safe and efficient drug distribution; appropriate medication selection; provision of drug information to meet the needs of physicians, nurses, patients and ancillary department personnel.

Responsibilities:

Prepares and dispenses medication orders per physician request according to established policies, procedures and protocols. Ensures safe, appropriate and cost effective medication therapies for patients according to established policies, procedures and protocols. Contributes to the quality and effective management of the Pharmacy Department operation. Maintains competency as required for current job position/title. Supervises technical and non-registered staff. Effectively operates equipment pertinent to practice area. Demonstrates the values and behaviors of the organization. Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
