Job Description
Job Overview We are a well established, locally owned pharmacy seeking a highly skilled, personable, and dedicated Pharmacist to join our healthcare team in beautiful Eufaula, OK., conveniently located next to Lake Eufaula. This small town atmosphere is a wonderful place to raise a family and has extensive outdoor activities for everyone. The ideal candidate will possess community pharmacy experience, including LTC and community care settings, with a strong focus on helping people with their medication management. This role involves providing expert pharmaceutical services, ensuring medication safety, and supporting patient health outcomes across diverse clinical environments. The Pharmacist will utilize advanced pharmacy software (Computer Rx) and EMR/EHR systems to deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical care, including medication compounding, immunizations, and medical management. Responsibilities Dispense medications accurately in accordance with prescription orders and legal guidelines Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate medication therapy and provide counseling on drug usage and potential side effects Manage inventory levels to ensure the availability of medications while minimizing waste Prepare compounded medications in compliance with safety standards Administer immunizations and perform medication administration procedures as required Support medical management initiatives by collaborating with healthcare providers on pain management, hypertension, diabetes, and other treatment plans Maintain detailed documentation within EMR/EHR systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Assist with patient service activities including answering questions about medications and providing education on health conditions Participate in patient care activities related to pediatrics, acute care, or specialized areas such as critical care or LTC pharmacy Manage and ensure all state and federal regulations, as well as, pharmacy policies are followed Manage all aspects of the pharmacy, including our experienced staff Requirements Valid pharmacist license with current registration in the state of Oklahoma Proven experience in community pharmacy is preferred Experience with pharmacy software systems and EMR/EHR platforms Skilled in compounding medications Ability to perform patient assessments and provide comprehensive patient care services including immunizations and medication counseling Familiarity with inventory management practices within a pharmacy setting Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and educate patients on medication use This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient health through expert pharmaceutical care.
