Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 4:00
PM Key Responsibilities:
Dispense prescription medications in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Monitor patient medication compliance and usage patterns to prevent misuse or overuse. Maintain accurate and confidential patient records. Advise patients on correct medication usage, possible side effects, and answer medication-related questions. Provide patient education on medical devices including blood pressure monitors and glucose meters. Compound sterile and non-sterile medications following proper protocols. Prepare sterile solutions adhering to safety standards. Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks to ensure efficient pharmacy operations. Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals such as physicians and nurses to manage drug therapies and resolve medication-related issues. Participate in ongoing professional development and engage with pharmacy organizations.
Qualifications:
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree. Active pharmacist license in the state of Oklahoma is required. IV certification and experience in home infusion pharmacy strongly preferred. Proven experience evaluating and monitoring drug therapies, particularly for home care patients. Strong organization and time-management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
