Responsibilities Process daily prescription orders from providers accurately and efficiently Fill and dispense new prescription medications and refills Provide extensive patient counseling on medications, side effects, interactions, and adherence Counsel patients on proper medication use and answer medication-related questions Oversee and supervise pharmacy support personnel throughout the shift Ensure safe medication dispensing and full regulatory compliance throughout all operations Experience IHS or tribal health facility experience is a strong plus Community or retail pharmacy experience preferred Patient counseling experience required Comfortable working in a remote or rural community health setting Supervisory experience over pharmacy technicians or support staff preferred Skills Strong patient counseling skills and genuine compassion for an underserved patient population Culturally sensitive approach to patient care and community health Comfortable working independently in a unique healthcare environment Effective communicator with patients, providers, and pharmacy support staff Reliable and adaptable in a community-focused pharmacy setting Qualifications BS in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD, required Active pharmacist license in good standing in any state required; no Oklahoma license needed Oklahoma surprises people.
