Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist - IV Certified Job Type Contract A skilled pharmacist with IV certification is needed to manage and oversee home infusion services in a pharmacy setting. This role requires strong expertise in medication dispensing, patient counseling, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, specifically within home infusion therapy.
Responsibilities:
Accurately dispense prescriptions and verify medication orders related to home infusion Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and storage Manage and oversee IV admixture preparation and administration procedures Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws, regulations, and safety standards Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes in infusion therapy Maintain proper documentation and inventory control for infusion supplies Provide training and support to pharmacy staff regarding infusion protocols
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Valid pharmacist license IV certification with experience in home infusion pharmacy Solid understanding of medication therapy management for infusion patients Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
