Job Description
Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Direct Hire Join a dynamic healthcare environment focused on advancing patient care through pharmaceutical expertise. This role is based in Owasso, OK, offering an excellent opportunity for a Clinical Pharmacist Operations Specialist to play a pivotal role in managing specialty practice areas within a progressive hospital pharmacy setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of specialty pharmacy practice areas such as IV room, narcotics management, informatics, and residency coordination. Provide pharmaceutical care as a staff pharmacist when needed. Support, maintain, and troubleshoot pharmacy operations while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. Coordinate testing, upgrades, staff education, and serve as subject matter expert for specialty areas. Deliver training and serve as a preceptor for pharmacy students and residents.
Qualifications and Experience:
B.S. or Pharm.
D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy. Clinical hospital pharmacy experience. Completion of accredited PGY-1 and PGY-2 residencies or equivalent combination of residency and clinical experience (minimum of 3 years post-PGY-1). Active Oklahoma Pharmacist license in good standing. BLS and
ALS/ACLS
certifications. Sterile compounding knowledge compliant with state regulations.
Preferred Credentials:
Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) certification or equivalent nationally recognized specialty certification.
Schedule:
Full-time, 8-hour day shifts.
