Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist - IV Certified Job Type Contract A well-established infusion pharmacy seeks an experienced Pharmacist to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. This role offers an opportunity to work Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in a professional environment where your expertise in home infusion and compounding will directly impact patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately in compliance with legal standards. Monitor patient medication adherence, compliance, and identify potential over-usage. Maintain confidential and up-to-date patient records and pharmacy files. Advise patients on proper medication usage, potential reactions, and answer medication-related questions. Provide consultation on prescription and over-the-counter medications including dosage, side effects, storage, and drug interactions. Educate patients on medical device use such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters. Prepare sterile compounded medications following established protocols. Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks. Manage pharmaceutical and medical supply inventory. Collaborate with healthcare providers to identify and resolve drug-related problems.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree. Valid Oklahoma pharmacist license. IV certification and experience in compounding infused drugs. Proven ability to evaluate and monitor drug therapies for patients in home care settings. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Involvement in professional pharmacy societies or organizations is desirable. Ability to effectively work as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
