Summary Position for our NEW Newport outpatient pharmacy opening soon.
JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Assists management in monitoring the operations and productivity of assigned department(s). Supervises staff, coordinates activities with leadership and provides support for the efficient and effective delivery of quality services. Performs the duties of Pharmacist as prescribed by state and federal statues as well as Samaritan Health Services policies. Prepares and dispenses medication; assesses clinical status of patients (neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics). Provides drug information to the medical team. Current unencumbered Oregon Pharmacist Licensure required. One (1) of the following required: Satisfactory completion of an ASHP-accredited residency in pharmacy practice. One (1) year pharmacist experience. Healthcare Provider Level BLS required within 90 days of hire. Successful completion of Pharmacist Immunization Certification required within one (1) year of hire. Leadership experience preferred. All job offers are contingent upon the candidate passing a pre-employment/post offer drug screen.KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
