Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Direct Hire This opportunity calls for a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist to serve as a unit-based specialist working across Emergency Department (ED) and Critical Care Unit (CCU) settings. Unlike larger hospitals where pharmacists may be restricted to one specific floor, this role offers the chance to expand clinical expertise by working across multiple units, including participation on the antibiotic stewardship team. The position involves comprehensive clinical responsibilities including medication order entry and verification, reviewing medication profiles for appropriateness, providing drug information, and delivering clinical services tailored to patient needs. The Clinical Pharmacist will engage collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and participate in rounds relevant to their practice area.
Key responsibilities include:
Participate in acute patient care scenarios such as cardiac arrest, stroke, sepsis, and trauma. Perform drug therapy monitoring and pharmacist-managed consults as outlined by protocols. Support clinical decision-making and medication management in both ED and CCU settings.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Licensure as a Clinical Pharmacist with relevant clinical experience. Strong knowledge of medication therapies, particularly in emergency and critical care. Ability to function effectively within multi-disciplinary healthcare teams. Experience with antibiotic stewardship programs is a plus.
